Pottathil on UCSD Panel on Human Trafficking

“NO MORE, NO MORE: Women, Girls, ICT & Violence” is a special program hosted by UCSD’s Social Impact and Innovation initiative. It is aimed at raising awareness of human trafficking and contributing to the national conversation on this critically important and tragic social issue, through panel discussions, conversation, movies, and heartfelt performances.

The next event in this program is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 3pm-6pm, at Atkinson Hall Auditorium, UC San Diego. The event will be opened by Pradeep K. Khosla (UC San Diego Chancellor) & Elizabeth H. Simmons (UC San Diego Executive Vice Chancellor), followed by a keynote by Summer Stephan (San Diego County District Attorney) and a panel discussion moderated by Carrie Hessler-Radelet (President and CEO, Project Concern International - PCI). Concluding remarks will be given by Suresh Subramani (Distinguished Professor and Former Exec. Vice Chancellor, UCSD).

Organizations invited to the discussion panel include UCSD’s Qualcomm Institute, the UCSD Center on Gender Equity and Health, the FBI, and SDSU Geography’s Center for Information Convergence and Strategy (CICS), represented by Co-Director Akshay Pottathil.
