I am currently working as a post-doctoral researcher on a project mapping vegetation at San Clemente island through the Department of Geography at San Diego State University. I am also working part-time as a research associate at the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve. I graduated from the joint doctoral geography program at San Diego State University and University of California, Santa Barbara. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Systems at University of California, San Diego and my Master’s degree in Ecology at San Diego State University. I also received a certificate in GIScience from San Diego State University. My dissertation research focused on fuel accumulation in southern California chaparral.
