What's new this year?
-Student discounted price for the Saturday Awards Banquet. Students receive a $10 discount on the price of the Saturday night banquet. If you are a student and would like to attend the banquet, please indicate this selection in the appropriate section of the registration form. Thanks to William and Marilyn Bowen for making this possible.
-Awards Banquet Student Grant: Again, thanks to a generous donation by William and Marilyn Bowen, students presenting papers at the conference can apply for a grant to partially offset the cost of the Saturday night Awards Banquet. This subsidy is in addition to the already discounted student price for the banquet. Please see the Awards page for details and instructions.
-Women's Network lunch and Department Chairs' lunch: There is no need to pay in advance for these two lunches this year. You will pay during the event at the conference, and there will be several affordable options. However, we need to know the number of people attending the lunches. Please indicate your attendance in the registration form.
What's included with the conference registration?
Besides full access to the conference, the registration includes: printed program; Wednesday night opening reception (wine/beer drink tickets, soft drinks and light appetizers), and Friday night President's Reception (heavy appetizers, soft drinks and cash bar).
Optional events:
In addition to exciting field trips (check description, times and cost in the Field Trips page in this website), we have planned the following events:
- Thursday night family style Mexican dinner at the famous Old Town Cafe ($25 per person). The dinner event includes a one-day pass for the San Diego trolley for Thursday (use to get to Old Town from the hotel and to tour San Diego at your leisure earlier on Thursday) only for participants attending our Thursday social event in Old Town San Diego),
- Saturday Awards Banquet at the Town and Country Resort ($42 for regular members, $32 for students). A vegetarian option is available. Additional subsidies for students are also available (see "Awards Banquet Student Grant" in the Awards page).
- Please indicate your selections for these events in the registration form and include appropriate payment.
