Position
in GIScience and Environmental Analysis
Department of Geography and the
Environment invites applications for a
tenure-track Assistant Professor position in GIScience and environmental
analysis to begin September 1, 2007. Salary
commensurate with
qualifications and/or expertise.
The successful applicant must have
an established record of excellence in
research productivity in at least two of the
following: decision support
analysis, environmental modeling, GIS,
landscape ecology, and spatial
analysis / statistics. Ability to teach GIScience classes strongly
preferred, as is ability in or willingness to
pursue research in
international settings and multiscale
analysis. The successful applicant
will be strongly encouraged to work with
one or more related campus units,
including Center for Space Research,
Environmental Science Institute,
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. at the
time of appointment, have a proven
research record and clearly defined research
agenda, and present evidence
or potential of teaching excellence.
