GIS ANALYST, CHINA, JAPAN, AND FRANCE

Professor G. William Skinner seeks a GIS analyst for spatial analyses of the modern transformation of agrarian societies, including contemporary China and 19th century Japan and France. This position is responsible for spatial analysis and digital cartography using ArcGIS software including ArcScan and ModelBuilder, managing large datasets including contemporary and historical base maps, regional systems, and administrative units linked to demographic and economic data tables. Excellent writing, organizational and team skills required. Background in social sciences, computer programming or geostatistics experience, and reading knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, or French preferred. 75% time with full benefits.
