summer workshop on Using GIS and Remote Sensing to Teach Geoscience
This summer, the NSF-funded program On the Cutting Edge will convene a workshop
in Bozeman, Montana on Teaching Geoscience Using GIS and Remote Sensing. We are
looking for applicants who hold faculty positions at 2- or 4-year colleges and
universities, who teach GIS/Remote Sensing, and who have geoscience students in
their courses.
**Please note that this workshop is not a workshop to train faculty in the
technical use of GIS systems ¡V we are looking for people who currently teach
GIS/RS and are interested in exploring and sharing effective ways of meeting the
needs of geoscience students.
If you do not teach GIS or remote sensing, we hope that you will pass the
following announcement on to colleagues who do, particularly if they are not in
your department.
