Notice about summer workshop on Using GIS and Remote Sensing to Teach Geoscience

This summer, the NSF-funded program On the Cutting Edge will convene a workshop in Bozeman, Montana on Teaching Geoscience Using GIS and Remote Sensing. We are looking for applicants who hold faculty positions at 2- or 4-year colleges and universities, who teach GIS/Remote Sensing, and who have geoscience students in their courses.

**Please note that this workshop is not a workshop to train faculty in the technical use of GIS systems íV we are looking for people who currently teach GIS/RS and are interested in exploring and sharing effective ways of meeting the needs of geoscience students.

If you do not teach GIS or remote sensing, we hope that you will pass the following announcement on to colleagues who do, particularly if they are not in your department.

When: August 8-11, 2010
