Since the introduction of fuzzy logic in 1970's, fuzzy sets and systems have
been applied widely and successfully in many fields. This session is an avenue
for geographers and other professionals to present a paper on fuzzy sets and
systems in geography. Topics under this heading include, but are not limited to:
* vague geographies
* fuzzy sets, ontology, and epistemology
* integration of fuzzy sets with other representations of geographic uncertainty
* cognitive and/or usability issues of fuzzy sets in geography
* applications of fuzzy set approaches to:
- geographic inquiry
- the Geospatial/Semantic Web
- spatial decision support systems
- participatory GIS
- graphic/cartographic representation

Detailed instructions for participation:
Submit your abstract to the AAG via their website http://www.aag.org . Upon
submission, you will receive a Program Identification Number (PIN). At that
point, please forward your name, affiliation, title, abstract, and PIN to either
of the organizers above.
Deadline for submission is MONDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2007. Note that this is two days
before the AAG official conference submission deadline (Wednesday, October 31).
