Programs : Undergraduate : Internships
The Department of Geography has an active internship program, which can be selected as one of the electives completed for this degree (with the exception of the General Geography emphasis). With an internship, students gain valuable work experience. Every effort is made to place people with companies or government agencies appropriate to their interests. This course is normally taken in the senior year; usually it requires 12 hours a week of work for fifteen weeks (a regular semester). Internships can also be taken during the summer.
