Ph.D., Geography, University of Colorado at Boulder, 2001. Assistant Professor with interests in Internet-based GIS applications, distributed computing, intelligent agents, and metadata modeling.  His current research includes:

1. Distributed Component Technologies (DCOM, CORBA, XML, and Java platform) and the current development of the OpenGIS project and ISO/TC 211.
2. User interface design and visualization in Cartography.
3. Internet GIS and Web-based mapping.
