Dave McKinsey, M.A., Geography, San Diego State University, 1988; B.A., Geography, San

Mr. McKinsey manages the Center with responsibilities that include systems administration, scheduling and
coordinating project work flow, supervising training of support staff, and maintaining hardware and software.
He has worked on a number of projects and has particular expertise in the use of GIS in prescribed burning
programs.
Marcus Chiu, B.A. with distinction, Geography, San Diego State University, 1997.
Mr. Chiu is the primary Windows System Administrator for the Center. His responsibilities include systems
administration, scheduling and coordinating project and classroom work flow, and maintaining hardware and
software.
Lloyd (Pete) L. Coulter, M.A.,Geography, San Diego State University, 1999; B. A., San
Diego State University, 1996.
Mr. Coulter is a manager and technical leader of multiple research projects. His responsibilities include:
supervising and training graduate and undergraduate students, scheduling and coordinating project work flow,
report writing, and data management. Mr. Coulter also operates specialized equipment for the department
including: an airborne multispectral imaging system; mapping and survey-grade GPS equipment, and photogrammetry
software.
